MATERIALS, GREEN & RESEARCH

Far Out has established itself as an innovative company in the sector thanks to the continuous research and development of new solutions and applications for EVA material. The company is in constant collaboration with brands and partners, working closely to meet their specific needs and offer high-quality personalised products.

MATERIALS: EVA

Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a thermoplastic polymeric material with a wide range of applications in different industries, thanks to its unique characteristics. Here is a detailed description of EVA and its applications:

APPLICATIONS

FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY
EVA is widely used in the production of footwear, particularly for soles. EVA soles offer comfort, shock absorption and flexibility. Thanks to its lightness and abrasion resistance, EVA provides excellent traction and durability to the soles of shoes.

PACKAGING
EVA is used in the packaging industry for the production of thermoplastic films and sheets. These materials can be thermoformed to create protective packaging for sensitive or fragile products. EVA offers a high level of transparency, resistance to chemical agents and thermal insulating properties.

SPORTS AND LEISURE
EVA is widely used in the production of sports equipment and leisure products. For example, EVA yoga mats offer excellent cushioning and grip, while EVA gym equipment covers provide comfort and impact protection.

AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR
EVA is used in the automotive sector for the production of mats, interior coatings and seals. Its shock absorption and sound insulation properties make EVA an ideal material for improving comfort and safety inside vehicles.

SOLAR ENERGY
EVA is used in the production of photovoltaic solar panels as an encapsulation layer to protect sensitive components while also offering high levels of sunlight transmission.

CHARACTERISTICS

In addition to the applications presented, EVA has several characteristics that make it a promising material for the future:

LIGHTNESS
EVA is a lightweight material, ideal for applications where weight is a critical factor, such as the footwear and automotive sectors.

SHOCK ABSORPTION
EVA effectively absorbs impacts, making it suitable for products that require cushioning, such as sports shoes and protective equipment.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
EVA is resistant to chemical agents, including oils, solvents and corrosive substances. This gives it greater durability and better protection in aggressive environments.

EASE OF PROCESSING
EVA can be easily thermoformed, cut and glued, allowing great versatility in the processing and production of customised products.

SUSTAINABILITY
EVA can be produced sustainably and can be recycled. This makes it an attractive option for industries that want to move in the direction of sustainability.

In conclusion, EVA is a versatile material with unique characteristics, ideal for many industrial applications. Thanks to its characteristics and its versatility, EVA could certainly represent the future of materials for many industries.

GREEN & RESEARCH

For Far Out, a key aspect is respect for the world around us. The company adopts sustainable practices at all stages of production, using recyclable materials and minimising its environmental impact. We are committed to supporting social and environmental initiatives to improve the local community and promote sustainable development on a global level.

In summary, Far Out is a young yet solid company, innovation-oriented and committed to respecting the world through sustainable products and socially responsible actions.

In fact, we are proud to share our recent progress in three key areas:

CANE material (sugar cane)
A highly biodegradable compound, since, under certain conditions, sugar cane degrades and breaks down into the natural elements of which it is composed.

In the process of industrialisation, sugar cane is processed into sucrose and fibre; sucrose, through fermentation, is transformed into polyhydroxybutyrate, a biopolymer, so the polymer is obtained from a natural source using natural products.

Unlike classical petroleum-based plastics, this polymer takes only a few months to break down.

SEAWEED material (algae bloom)
This material takes advantage of the uncontrolled growth of algae caused by global warming, thereby preventing them from contributing to the damage to plants, animals and human life itself; in this case, the aim is also to keep the ecosystem itself in balance.

It is also possible to create this high-performance material without the need for any fossil fuels.

RECYCLED material
Far Out has always been committed to the reuse of its waste material; we work with companies that grind and pulverise our waste so that it can be used again during the production phase.

This route is traced in order to obtain self-certifications that allow us to build business projects related to environmental sustainability.

MATERIALS: TR

The care and interests of our customers are our priority at FAR OUT. This is why we have included TR processing in our production range.

TR, an acronym for Reinforced Thermoplastic, is a material widely used for the production of footwear soles. TR soles offer numerous advantages, including durability, abrasion resistance, flexibility and lightness.

These soles are designed to withstand daily wear and offer excellent grip on various surfaces. Thanks to its versatility, TR can be easily shaped and printed with precision, allowing the creation of soles with custom designs and specific details.

Thanks to its versatility, TR is widely used in the footwear industry for the production of soles for sports shoes, casual shoes and work shoes.

Its combination of performance, strength and design makes it an ideal choice for high-quality soles.
